Poem
The two peaches
I bought two peaches
I ate one, and kept the other
My love is far away
I wait for him, joyful
If I eat it, it won't be
My love will come, but
He will be hungry, and I will feel sorrow

I watch the peach, and smile
Its smell is engaging
Fresh like the spring
Sweet like a caress
I smell it, wandering about my lover
Will he be coming tonight?
I will give it to him, he will be enchanted.

Late is the hour, I watch his steps
Stuck to my bedroom bamboo weaved fence
From red pink, it has become yellowish
The sleep whispers to me his name
Then murmurs my heart
Again, falls the fine rain.
