TEXTBOOKS TO LEARN HMONG LANGUAGE, GRAMMAR, LITERATURE & CULTURE

The following textbooks are the results of more than a decade of intensive research and teaching of Hmong language.  The teaching approach and pedagogy used here are based on the author’s academic training and her experience of teaching Hmong since 2003, and French languages since 1991 to heritage and foreign students from the beginning to advanced levels.  Kao-Ly Yang, the author, is specialized in the Teaching of languages as maternal and foreign languages, in Hmong and French Linguistics and in Anthropology, especially in Hmong studies.
She worked at various American universities and colleges such as the University of California, San Francisco, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Fresno City College, and Reedley College. She is currently the coordinator of the Hmong Studies Program at Fresno State.
